LadyBoss Lean is a protein powder shake that helps women lose weight. There is a variety of flavors to choose from such as vanilla cake, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, lemon, etc. So, you can choose a flavor that is best suited for you.
Compared to when they just started, you have more options, but sometimes certain flavors go out of stock.
Ideally, you want to drink the shake before doing physical exercise as your blood sugar levels will be higher shortly after drinking it and your body will be prepared for physically demanding exercise.
If you are not exercising, however, I found drinking a few hours before sleep also a good time. I tried skipping dinner, but it was hard to go to sleep on an empty stomach so I supplemented my dinner with the shake and it worked!
Depending on which flavor you choose, the ingredients might vary slightly, but most of them have relatively healthy ingredients such as Vitamin D, A, C, E, Calcium, Iron, Zinc, Magnesium, etc which are essential vitamins and minerals your body needs.
It also has Biotin, Vitamin B, and Folate which are great for your hair, nails, and skin, so you get a shake packed with nutrition.

However, is it really good for you?
LadyBoss Lean is mainly designed to replace a meal. A typical lunch or dinner is about 500-1000 calories, but a serving of the protein shake is around 300 calories (assuming you mix it with other ingredients), so you will definitely be consuming fewer calories and lose weight if you stick to the plan, but it does lack fiber which results in hunger cravings way sooner than full meals.
Despite being nutrition and protein-packed, a scoop contains 0-2 grams of fiber (depending on selection). You need about 25 grams of fiber every day, so it's a good idea to supplement your diet with apples, lentils, broccoli, etc.
Also if you are diabetic, it's best to avoid this product. It has some flavoring and ingredients such as maltodextrin which is high on the glycemic index and can cause increased blood sugar levels.
There is a balance to everything, so as long as you maintain that balance, you can enjoy the benefits. I recommend that you drink only one serving of protein shake per day. Anything more than that, it's not sustainable over the long term.
The product boasts great value and nutrition content for the price, but let's get into some of the specifics.
While it may contain a very low amount of carbs, (5-10 grams) per scoop, it comes in the form of simple carbohydrates (sugar), so it will raise your blood sugar levels and cause a bit of a spike which is why I don't recommend this to people who are diabetic and sensitive to sugar.
However, carbs are not necessarily bad for you. Complex carbohydrates such as brown rice, whole wheat, and beans are a good source of healthy carbs, so you shouldn't be afraid of eating healthy carbs.
Protein is an important part of any diet, especially if you are trying to build muscle. Luckily, a serving of the LadyBoss protein powder by itself contains around 17 grams of protein. When mixed with other ingredients, you are looking at almost 30 grams of protein which is almost half of an average woman's daily recommended intake.
The protein is a mixture of grass-fed whey isolate and a blend of concentrates with NO GMOs and hormones.
Lactose intolerant people unfortunately will have trouble digesting the protein, but luckily there are some plant-based options to choose from as well.
Besides getting your protein from the shake, I would recommend that you eat at least one full meal that includes around 150 grams of oats, lentils, or meat. For reference, the size should be around the size of your fist.
Sadly there are no probiotics, which are healthy bacteria your gut needs to support a strong immune system and healthy digestive tract. While it's not a big deal, it would have been a good ingredient to include in their product.
If you want to add some probiotics, you could buy probiotic pills from your local pharmacy and mix it with your shake OR use fermented yogurt instead of water or milk with your shake.
With a blend of 18 vitamins and minerals, it covers most of the bases to replace a full meal. The protein shake includes vitamin A, B, C, and E and other vitamins and nutrients for healthier skin, nails, and hair.
The shake also contains supporting digestive enzymes, which help the body break down the formula making it faster acting and easy to absorb.
After drinking the protein shakes for around 20 days, I did seem to notice a slight improvement, but I was also exercising regularly and sleeping more, so there were other factors that helped.
For the best results, you should also focus on what you eat and drink besides just the shake. Whole meals with vegetables, some nuts for healthy fats, and water instead of carbonated drinks.
LadyBoss shakes are low on sugar, around 4 - 5 grams per scoop, but despite advertising it as low with 0 added sugars, they don't show the full list of ingredients online.
Fructose, Maltodextrin, and other artificial flavors may not necessarily be classified as sugar, but it's not much different from sugar, to be honest.
Maltodextrin is a processed powder made from either potato starch, wheat, corn, or rice and is basically corn syrup in solid form. The biggest problem with this is its very high glycemic index rating, even higher than traditional sugar! This means your body digests the sugar too quickly which causes spikes in blood sugar levels.
You may feel hungry not long after drinking the shake due to this, which can be counterproductive to your weight loss goal if you are not disciplined enough and end up binging on unhealthy foods and snacks. It's important to track how many calories you consume throughout your day!
Sometimes some of the products go out of stock and are not viewable on the site, but you could buy different flavors when they are back in stock. The price can range from $10 - $19. The Pumpkin Spice is a great deal for only $10! You get almost 2 pounds of protein powder for a very low price.
If we are to calculate how much a scoop costs, it comes down to $0.33 - $0.63 per scoop which is a pretty cheap meal replacement.
As seen in the image above the packaging is very sleek and eye-catching. They started with vanilla cake flavor and added many others since their debut.
The vanilla lean shake mix sure sounds yummy (especially if you are craving for sweet things) but be warned, it’s known for being too strong for a lot of people who start their weight loss program.
Some even say “I stopped just after two weeks because the taste was overpowering”.
The smell can be a little off-putting at first, and if you are drinking it without mixing it with enough liquids, the lean shake mix tastes a little strong, but you can always add more water. Personally, it wasn't that bad for me, but people have different taste buds.
However, I highly recommend that you mix it with skim milk, nuts, a teaspoon of peanut butter, and some vegetables/fruits to balance out the strong sweet vanilla flavor. You can get creative with your mix and add other ingredients that the protein powder may lack.
If you are hoping that they have beyond amazing customer service, the truth is that their customer service is so-so. When LadyBoss first introduced its product, it was pretty common to wait a while before you got an answer.
Many people who ordered the shake online didn’t have access to ANY customer service and didn’t receive tracking information even weeks after they paid and ordered the product. A lot of reviews from customers are in fact about slow response times and difficulty getting ahold of someone.
On the positive side though, nearly all of the online reviews were eventually followed up by a representative who apologized for the frustration and attempted to fix their problems.
But it should be noted that canceling the monthly LadyBoss subscription is a bit of a hassle. You either have to call them or get in touch with a representative, which in itself is a little annoying. There are also a lot of terms and conditions for what qualifies for a refund and what doesn't.

Overall, yes you can lose weight with ladyboss supplements. A lot of people think LEAN is amazing, have had great results with the product, and absolutely love Lady Boss. However, it's not a magic cure for everything. You still need to put in the effort and remain consistently disciplined throughout your regime. Usual bad eating habits play a huge role!
The shakes do help if you need a quick meal replacement and an energy boost, but I had to start eating healthier foods, going to the gym regularly, and getting enough sleep besides just drinking the protein shakes. What is great about LadyBoss though is the support group the women get in a Facebook support group.
If I am being truthfully honest, the LadyBoss lifestyle takes a bit of getting used to at first, but once it becomes a habit, it is easy to keep going. You don't necessarily need the supplements and the protein shakes to actually lose that extra weight, but it just makes it a little easier and convenient for people such as myself who have very little time to prepare food.
When you don't have time to make healthier home-cooked meals, it's easy to opt for chips, cookies, or takeaway that are really bad for you. The food cravings were a little hard to deal with in the beginning, but when I swapped my afternoon shake for an evening shake, it got better. However, most importantly I made the willing choice to be healthier and there are some sacrifices and changes that need to be made, but the way I feel about my body since losing the fat, the extra levels of energy I have throughout the day, the activities that I can now enjoy are well worth it.
